Vulcanus, the forge world, full of untapped mineral wealth... But not full of hydrogen. This mod chokes down the torrent of Sulfuric Acid to a trickle, and replaces the Acid Neutralization recipe with a heavily-nerfed Acid Reduction recipe. This is more of a problem than it would be in vanilla, since now the recipes to produce metal from lava require water to keep the foundry cool; they return steam, but only at 50% efficiency (which cannot be increased by productivity).

(Sidenote: all steam produced this way is 165C; so you'll have to rely on the abundant solar energy unless you're very efficient with your steam power.)

However, there is a saving grace: Coal. The Simple Liquefaction recipe has been removed; instead you're now expected to gasify the coal to make petroleum gas, and from that water. (Normal Liquefaction is still available, but might need some productivity to make water-positive.) This gas you'll also need to turn into heavier compounds for all your petrochem needs... Lubricant suddenly seems quite expensive! (Good thing there's a new synthetic alternative in Silicone Lubricant, available with Metallurgic Science.)
