Having a bit of an issue, am I supposed to be starting with a Void Stone, or something similar? I am not, and I have tried saving up, and putting 1000+ Catalyst in the snatcher chest, which I did see in the Changelog, mentions that it would become a Condensed Void Stone? It didn't do that, however.
is there any way to get the Void Stone somehow? I can't seem to get Void Stones/Shards/Nuggets at all.

It's a bit strange. Void Stone supposed to be given into your inventory from the very beginning of the game. If we exclude a weird bug, there could be two other reasons why that might happen:
1) You installed this mod after you created the world and use it in existing save
2) You use some other mod (aka Easy Start or something similar) that modifies starting inventory and basically overrides its content instead of adding items

Could you please try to temporary disable mods that give you starting items and start a fresh game just for test?

Clarification about snatcher chest and stone mechanics: snatcher chest will produce void catalyst inside itself if you put void stone into it

I will think about implementing some kind of research that gives you new void stone when you research it in a laboratory but this will be done in several hours because I'm currently doing my IRL job.

Meanwhile you could create 6 hungry chests and spread your void catalyst between them. It will also give you some free stuff

Just dropped an update. I removed Void Stone soft lock that you got into and made some recipes easier. Plus I made a research that gives a free Void Stone. Reworked item descriptions. hopefully no misreading now.
