This should be possible without any major changes, but unfortunately I don't have the spare time to work on new features for this mod currently. It's a nice idea though, and if I'm able to find time around Christmas break I'll definitely look into it.
Honestly I'm kind of crossing my fingers that the future 2.1 update of Factorio will be able to retire this mod, as there are a multiple small issues that I either can't or don't know how to fix. Because of that, I'm avoiding adding too many features to this mod until 2.1 drops. (Potentially doing a small code refactor if the mod is still alive after 2.1)
