FAQ

Very Fluffy FAQ

Do I need Space Age?

You need to own it, because Phosphorus and Radioactive Elements use spoiling.
You don't need to enable it: the pack plays in the base game or with Space
Age, and Quality is optional either way.

Is this an overhaul?

It is a pack of material mods. They add production chains and change some
existing recipes. Molybdenum is the biggest change: a distillation tower
replaces advanced oil processing. The pack itself adds no recipes or setting
changes; its only script adds a Bismuth section to Milestones.

How hard is it?

Expect more buildings and production steps than in the base game. Science
costs are normal. Some industries need fluid, heat or storage planning.
Antimony's workshop runs its sequence itself; circuits are optional.

Can I add it to an existing save?

Start a new game. Each mod handles being added to an existing save on its
own, but adding the whole pack mid-game is not tested.

Why is Bismuth recommended?

Three of the mods use it: Antimony's workshop uses bismuth solder, Tellurium
makes bismuth telluride for thermoelectric cooling, and Radioactive Elements
irradiates bismuth targets for polonium. All of the mods also work without it;
Radioactive Elements then makes its bismuth targets from copper ore.

Can I turn off a recommended mod?

Yes. The pack recommends Bismuth, Milestones, and Flare Stack and Valves for
Molybdenum's surplus fluids. Factorio installs recommended mods by default and
you can turn them off; the game still works without them.

Which planning tools work with the pack?

Factory Planner, Rate Calculator, Factory Search, Bottleneck Lite and
Informatron are optional and load with the pack. Informatron includes
Antimony's workshop guide.

What about BZ, Krastorio 2 or Space Exploration?

They are not part of this pack. Several of the material mods support them
individually; see each mod's page.

Does the pack have its own milestones or guide?

With Milestones, each mod adds its own section, and the pack adds one for
Bismuth. On an existing save, press Reset in the Milestones settings to add
them. There is no pack-specific guide; the optional Informatron includes
Antimony's workshop guide.
