FAQ

What does this mod do?

It makes the vanilla Logistic System technology available much earlier by changing its science pack requirements to automation, logistic, and chemical science.

When do requester chests unlock?

Requester chests unlock after Logistic Robotics, once you research the adjusted Logistic System technology.

Does this give free robots or free chests?

No. You still need to build the infrastructure, craft the robots, supply the network, and pay the normal item costs. The mod only moves the technology earlier.

Is this balanced?

It is intentionally a convenience tweak, not a full overhaul. The idea is that experienced players who have restarted many times can reach familiar logistics tools sooner without skipping the factory itself.

What are the dependencies?

Required:

  • Factorio base 2.0 or newer

Optional:

  • Space Age
  • AAI Containers

Incompatible:

  • early-requester

Does it work with Space Age?

Yes. Space Age is listed as an optional dependency so the mod can load cleanly in Factorio 2.0 Space Age games.

Does it work with AAI Containers?

Yes. If AAI Containers is installed, the related AAI logistic strongbox, storehouse, and warehouse technologies are also moved to the same early science pack set.

Does it change recipes or item stats?

No. Recipes, entity stats, robot behavior, chest size, and logistic network mechanics are unchanged.

Can I add it to an existing save?

Yes. If Logistic System has not been researched yet, the adjusted requirements should apply normally. If it was already researched, the mod will not need to change anything for that save.

Can I remove it from a save?

Usually yes. This mod changes technology requirements and does not add new entities. If you remove it after researching Logistic System, the save should continue using vanilla entities.

Why make requester chests available earlier?

Because after enough restarts, the early game becomes less about discovery and more about repeating solved work. This mod keeps the factory honest, but lets your experience matter.
