It may have already been thought of, but for the factories, you could utilise Factorissimo, where the supply chains are actually built by the players themselves. Could allow you to get more complex in the recipes, since it's all self-contained, and won't ruin the city aesthetic.

Appreciate the input! We previously discussed if houses should be those factorissimo buildings, but it was easier to get started with my own assets and not depend on another mod. This probably won't happen soon, as compatibility with other mods is something that needs a bit more work. Feel free to try using both yourself and let me know if there are any issues :)
