I found that completing research on technology would result in the original turret selection settings being cleared
I don't believe this is a correct behavior.
That should be fixed in 1.0.6. I also didn't copy over circuit connections and conditions which should be fixed too. The upgrade process has been updated to use fast_replace instead of deleting and recreating the turret, so most settings should now copy to the new turret seamlessly.
