i am absolutely not talking about thoses breeding inventory that you need to put in a breeder reactor to breed the rarer isotopes and that need carbon tungstene to work
what i am talking about is that
-1 mox fuel rod assembly need 10 mox pellets
-10 mox pellets need 5 plutonium 239 and 15 uranium 238
- 1 spent mox fuel rod assembly reprocessing give 1 plutonium 239
ok oups, it take 5 plutonium to make the fuel rod assembly that will give you only 1 when reprocessed, so i now see it clearly that it's logical that my plutonium 239 inventory is depleting and not growing, my bad ^^
BUT, there is also the 7 uraniums pieces enrich at 19.7% average so it's like having 23.7 pieces of uranium enriched at 5.8% ( that's an odd way i do math for thoses ratios and stuffs ^^ )
enough to make 2 uranium fuel rod assembly ?
Or if you get 350 UF6 at 19.7%
it mean that you get 68.95 UF6 at 100%
350/100=3.5 ( it's one percent of those 350 UF6)
wich mean that if you multiply 3.5 by the 19.7, you get to know how much pure U235 there is in that mix of UF6
so 3.5*19.7=68.95 UF6 at 100%
so then, to know how many pure U235 pieces you get when solidifiyng
68.95/50= 1.379 U 235 per spent mox fuel rod reprocessed
wich show me that's not 2.3 times what i need to craft the mixed uranium pellet from UF6 recipe ratios ( as the enrichment is higher than what's needed to make the uranium rod assembly, i need to separate into pure U 235 elemet, so it should make 1.379 fuel rod assembly from the uranium you get in the mox reprocessing recipe, is there a wrong in my wanky maths ? most probably yeah lol help me ?
so for the mixed uranium rod assembly reprocessing calculations, it seems easier, like
you need 1 000 UF6 at 5.8% to make the 10 mixed uranium pellet, it's better to use the pure items recipes to make thoses, because the craft from pure U238 and U235 get you the same amount of mixed uranium pellet, but it use a recipe with 5.26 % enrichment equivalent, but let's make the calculations from worst case scenario of the UF6 recipes
so you need 1000 UF6 to craft the uranium fuel rod assembly, wich give you back 300 UF6 at the same enrichment, so it's basicaly a loss of 70% of the recipe.
wich mean you get 0.3 time the fuel back
- the 1.379 uranium fuel rod assembly from the mox reprocessing, that you will only get every time you generate 4 new Pu239 from the uranium fuel rod assembly, wich you have a 33% chance each time you reprocess a uranium fuel rod assembly
that mean that you need to reprocess 3 U fuel rod assembly per new Pu 239, so that make it up to 12 U fuel rod assembly to produce enough plutonium to run a single Pu fuel rod assembly
SO, 1.379/12=0.1149 ( that mean that by doingMOX reprocessing you get a 11.49% boost to your prod of uranium fuel rod assembly
so the reprocessing of the U fuel rod assembly get you +30% U fuel rod assembly by itself, but if you do the mox fuel rod assembly and it's reprocessing, you get 11.49% more U fuel rod assembly
total 141.49% U fuel rod assembly by doing U and MOx rod assembly and reprocessing
can't get tell you how many Gj that mean overall, because with transplutonic rebalence, you could have changed the power density of each fuel cell.
oh, and you seems to have changed the craft recipe of the different inactive breeding inventory, i love it ^^
still need to do the math on thoses as i have not touched them
what about a dark matter reactor to use that dark matter if we don't want to craft thoses module anymore ?
what about antimater synthesis from the particle accelerator program ? maybe to simplify stuffs without adding 2 new reactor would be to just make nuclear fuel cell that we could insert in a standard reactor or breeder reactor but the tech for the fuel cell would be lock behind endgame ?
