Overview

A mod that tweaks some recipes to make vulcanus just a tiny bit harder to automate. After all, it is the easiest planet to conquer.
This mod makes crafting tungsten plates and metallurgic science packs a little bit harder, using shared probabilities to slash down the crafting output of their recipes while ensuring tungsten isn't truly lost. Only molten metals (which are available for free on vulcanus) are continuously consumed.

Tungsten Plate recipe tweaks

• Results
  • 40% chance: 1 tungsten plate is produced (accepts productivity bonuses)
  • 60% chance: 4 tungsten ore are refunded (no productivity bonus)
• Thanks to shared probabilities, if no tungsten plates were crafted, you will always be refunded tungsten ore. Only molten iron is consumed.
• The recipe is 20% faster.

Metallurgic Science Pack recipe tweaks

• Results
  • 60% chance: 1 metallurgic science pack is produced (accepts productivity bonuses)
  • 40% chance: tungsten ingredients are refunded (no productivity bonus)
    • 3 tungsten carbide is always refunded.
    • 2 tungsten plates have 50% chance of being refunded.
    • 8 tungsten ore have 50% chance of being refunded instead of tungsten plates.
• In effect thanks to shared probabilities, the recipe has 3 outcomes:
  • 60% chance: 1 metallurgic science pack is produced
  • 20% chance: 3 tungsten carbide and 2 tungsten plates are refunded
  • 20% chance: 3 tungsten carbide and 8 tungsten ore are refunded
• Again, no tungsten is lost. Only molten copper/iron is consumed.

This mod is minimal so that it may be integrated in any game, or as part of a bigger mod.
