Lamp and lamp post does not protect me to spawn enemies after 30 sec after leave first 5x5 chunks

I’ve fixed the lamp issue now. The Big Lamp Post should protect you properly in the darkness.
Please update the mod, give it a quick test, and let me know if it’s working properly for you. I’m checking the other issue as well and I’ll get back to you once I’ve had a proper look.

Is there a difference between a lamp and a lamppost in terms of protection? Or is it just the illumination?

Yes, there’s a difference in protection as well, not just illumination.
A normal lamp protects you within a 12-tile radius, while the Big Lamp Post protects you within a 30-tile radius. Both need to be powered and working.

After update from 2.6.2 to 2.6.7 the lamppost protection stopped working.
The regular lamp still works.

I discovered that I didn't have enough electricity. But even with a low supply, the protection for a regular lamp worked.

I went back and checked it again, and I even compared both versions side by side because I thought I might have accidentally changed or moved something. But no — the lamppost files and the protection logic are exactly the same in both versions.

Anyway, if you fancy it, I’ve set up a multiplayer server called “The Cave”. I normally put the newest updates on there first, so you’re more than welcome to join, play and test them there.

Just search for “The Cave” in the Multiplayer server list and you should be able to find it.
