A quick cross-compatibility addon meant for Aegis & Bellicos (A&B) and Metal and Stars (M&S), extended to work with other exoplanetary system mods.
It simply fuses the stargates near Calidus added by mods into a single one.

Overview

When this mod is installed and detects one or more compatible mods, it will create a new "Calidus stargate" space location.

• The Calidus stargate is accessible from both Nauvis (12 000 km away) and Fulgora (8000 km away).
• All stargates have a low, negative gravity pull. Unpropelled spaceships will slowly be pushed away from them.
• Stargates usually have low solar power available.
• Stargates have a very short travel distance between them, with very few harmless asteroid chunks.

If Aegis & Bellicos is detected:

• The mod won't create a new space location, instead it will use A&E's established Calidus stargate.
• The mod modifies it so the space location unlocks with any other compatible mods' research. It can still be unlocked by researching Asteroid belt discovery Aegis.

If a fork of Metal and Stars is detected:

• The stargate near Calidus added by M&S (named "Senestella stargate") is hidden and its space connections are removed.
• The newly added Calidus stargate is connected to the Senestella stargate, allowing direct travel between the various systems from the same location near Nauvis. Its description is changed to reflect that.
• The Calidus stargate is also unlocked with Planet discovery shipyard (M&S), ensuring access to the Senestella planetary system when researched.
• Additionally, the stargate near Senestella is renamed "Senestella stargate". Its sprite and description are changed both to match the other stargates and avoid confusion.

If a fork of Dea Dia System is detected:

• The Calidus stargate is connected to the Dea Dia system edge, allowing direct travel between the various systems from the same location near Nauvis. Its description is changed to reflect that.
• The Calidus stargate is also unlocked with Dea Dia system discovery (DD), ensuring access to the Dea Dia system when researched.
• Additionally, the "Dea Dia system edge" space location is renamed "Dea Dia stargate". Its sprite and description are changed both to match the other stargates and avoid confusion.

Customization

The mod allows you to configure the solar power in space available to ships stationed at stargates, using the following presets:

• Very low power: All stargates have only 1% solar power in space. Ships relying solely on solar power for energy may get stuck at a stargate or between them if they have low fuel. Better spend as little time as possible there...
• Low power: Default option. All stargates have 10% solar power in space. Ships relying solely on solar power for energy may struggle, lingering at stargates is not advised.
• Location based power: Stargates have a variable amount of solar power in space available, depending on their distance to the closest star. Most solar ships should be fine. The Calidus stargate may serve as a space logistic hub without requiring nuclear power or fusion.
  • Calidus stargate: 150% solar power available.
  • Bellicos stargate and Senestella stargate: 40% solar power available.
  • Dea Dia stargate: 20% solar power available

Compatibility

So far the mod is able to handle combinations of several mods. Current compatibility options include:

• Aegis & Bellicos
• Metal and Stars
• Dea Dia System

I plan on adding more compatibility options as requested, if other star system mods pop up with new stargates.
