Your factory, dressed up for Halloween.
Buildings
- Assembling machines 1-3: a haunted workshop that grows spookier with each tier: a pumpkin
and a purple candle, then a pumpkin pile with a black cat and a crow, then a witch hat, a
gravestone and a ghost that rises out of the machinery while it works.
- Furnaces: the stone and steel furnaces get a harvest look (jack-o'-lantern, candles,
gourds, a cauldron of stew stirred by a ladle, a broom; the steel furnace's fire throws a
toothy jaw of light on the ground). The electric furnace is a mad scientist's lab with
glowing jars and a skull lantern. They light up while smelting.
- Small lamps: each lamp stands inside a carved pumpkin whose face glows when the lamp turns
on, and lamps shine warm orange. Colours set by circuit signals still work.
- Electric mining drills: a dig site, with an amber miner's lantern and a dug-up skull on the rails.
- Boilers: a jack-o'-lantern and candles that light up with the fire, and a cobweb by the chimney.
- Electric poles: a graveyard path, with a crow and a lantern, a hanging pumpkin lamp that
throws its carved face onto the ground at night, a scarecrow on the big pole, and a witch hat
crowning the substation, with bats around it.
Walls
- Stone walls become a graveyard wall: candles, skulls, cobwebs, jack-o'-lanterns and a crow
here and there (only some wall pieces carry them, so a long wall never looks like wallpaper).
- Gates get a skull on a pike at both ends, its eyes glowing at night.
Enemies
- Biters and spitters wear Halloween colours: pumpkin-orange, witch-purple, bone-white and
black-cat biters; candy-corn, pale-ghost, toxic-green and blood-red spitters.
- When one dies, a little ghost often rises from the body, wobbles upwards and fades away. It
glows at night.
- Worms sit in a ritual circle of candles, with a skull or two on the bigger ones.
Main menu
- A haunted base at dusk greets you: the decorated factory, the graveyard wall under attack and
ghosts rising from the fallen biters. It replaces the game's own menu scenes while the mod is on.
Paving
- Skulls, bones and cracks etched into concrete.
- Mosaic skulls, pumpkins and bats set into refined concrete.
- Skulls among the cobbles of stone path.
- At night their eyes glow.
Icons: each decorated building's icon gets a small jack-o'-lantern badge.
At night the base glows: purple workshops, orange furnaces and lamps, blue-green poles, green
eyes in the floor, candle-lit walls and worms, and ghosts over the battlefield.
Safe in any save. Spooky Halloween only adds decoration layers to the vanilla sprites (and a
badge to their icons), recolours the vanilla biters and adds the ghost as a short-lived smoke
effect. No item, recipe or entity is added, and nothing about how anything works changes, so you
can add it for October and remove it in November.
