Hey, thank you again for making this mod! I'm having a lot of fun with it; not having to worry as much about spoilage at the cost of just a little more complexity has been a huge help to me.
I kinda feel bad bringing this up, but I had the idea a few days ago and I can't get it out of my head. It seems slightly unrealistic to me that a steel barrel filled with organic matter will just turn directly into a pile of rotten spoilage, with no sign of what happened to the barrel. Yes, we can hand-wave it and say the barrel rusted away completely, but that still seems a bit silly. Perhaps instead, the spoiled result could be something along the lines of a "barrel of spoilage", that could be emptied in an assembler into the spoilage and the empty barrel. That way, it would be consistent with the un-canning processes giving a good product and the barrel back, and you don't lose all that steel every time a product ends up going bad somehow.
Again, this is just a suggestion that came to me at work one day. This mod is still amazing the way it is; thank you again for making it, and for taking my suggestions in the past. I really appreciate it!
