To preface: AJ has 2 core design principles: 1) Do not add complexity. 2) Only make changes that encourage more interesting gameplay.
I considered nerfing acid neutralization on Vulcanus as you proposed. However, power generation on Vulcanus is still so extremely simple that it didn’t actually fix the problem. I very quickly realized that players would just copy-paste more turbines/steam generators. This would just be annoying without actually encouraging people to do a more interesting form of electricity generation (violates principle 2). I would need to create a whole new, more complex form of power generation for vulcanus, which violates principle 1.
