can you briefly explain how the senario works on the demo page?

for me the level was empty at the start, like normal start

Sorry for my bad explainations:

It is a saved game. Download it and save in the directory (on windows):

C:\Users{your name}\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\saves

Then you can load it as a saved game (synchronize the mods) : "vanilla - start expansion 2 - chest"
