Gun, rocket, railgun and artillery turrets (and artillery wagons) keep themselves stocked with the best ammo in reach: construction robots bring it from the logistic network, and on space platforms the hub throws it across. Worse ammo is swapped for better automatically. Works with modded turrets and ammo; never uses nukes.
Providing the player with new tools or adjusting the game interface, without fundamentally changing gameplay.
Version: 0.1.0
Date: 2026-11-01
Features:
- Gun, rocket, railgun and artillery turrets, and artillery wagons, keep themselves stocked with the best ammo in reach.
- Planets: construction robots bring it from the logistic network. Space platforms: the hub throws it across.
- Worse ammo is swapped for better ammo; the old ammo goes back to storage.
- Works with other mods' turrets and ammo: every ammo is scored by its damage while the game loads (area damage weighted by blast radius).
- Never uses dangerous ammo: nukes, anything that spawns units (like capture robot rockets), or blasts wider than 10 tiles - from any mod. Ammo loaded by hand that the mod won't use is left alone.
- Artillery wagons are only loaded while their train stands still.
- Pick the ammo for one turret: a panel on the turret's window ("Auto-load ammo") with an ammo picker (only ammo the turret can fire, with quality) and an "Auto (best)" button. A picked ammo is the only one loaded; anything else is swapped out.
- The choice is copied with copy / paste settings (Shift + right-click, Shift + left-click) and saved in blueprints.
- Settings: amount to keep, refill threshold, upgrading, pausing while shooting (off by default), skipping inserter-fed turrets, turrets checked per tick, using modded ammo, a list of ammo never to use.
