SLP - Dyson Sphere Reworked

by SLywnow

Who needs a fusion reactor when you have the whole sun? Steer the starship directly into its orbit and channel an incredible amount of energy where you need it with new technologies. The main thing is not to forget to leave the ship before departure! Make dyson sphere near star and forget about other energy sources in planets and in space!

g platform gets stuck

hello, good afternoon

I have an error in the platform routes, they get trapped in the solar orbits and do not leave there, they continue advancing, consuming their fuel but without moving from the orbit.

I have lost many rigs this way because they eventually run out of fuel and drift.

Is there any update on this? Running into the same problem, platform reached the sun orbit and is stuck there doing nothing.
Here a screenshot of my ship: https://imgur.com/a/pBxS7CO
It currently has a bit of fuel left, has "speed" and a planet to return to, but no distance indicator is showing up.

I had the same thing happen with a top speed of 100.65km/s. The moment I added another thruster, it went back to vulcanus as expected. Though, going from two thrusters to three took my top speed from 100 to 30km/s, until I made it past halfway to vulcanus, then went back to the expected ~140. The same ship on approach gets to over 200 on only two thrusters, so there's definitely something screwey going on.

I'm not sure if this is intentional, since it's a way to get a much higher rate of plasma coming in without any rocks to deal with. If it is, it's not communicated at all.

Although, if this is meant to be some gravitational force, having it slow down your ship while moving from Sun to Close Sun is weird.

There is a gravity_pull setting of 100 for both the sun orbit and close sun orbit (that should reduce your speed by 100), that doesn't show up on the space map because these are space locations and not planets you can land on (the tooltip that shows up has different info fields and doesn't show this gravity_pull setting). that is likely what's preventing your platforms from moving.
