This mod is an affront and an insult. Have you no decency?!

JK this is hilarious and will make a great addition to my collection. Does the slowdown affect biters? If so, this can serve a defensive purpose.

Cheesy defense possibility. This is a good idea for a mod to implement safety in the factory. But I wouldn't want biters to be affected by it.

Glad you like it.

My limited testing (throwing a 10-wide patch in a known biter attack path) seemed like they just ignore the rumble strips and keep going the same speed. Damn reckless biters....

This mod is great....but useless.
I want it to slowdown bitters too to have a good purpose.

it actually does have a use, (with other mods) especially aircraft where making a positioning the aircraft on the runway is very hard due to the very high acceleration but in the normal game it doesn't have a super good use

Yeah, its usefulness is very limited in vanilla gameplay (outside of "oohh, bit of red" in your grey+yellow+brown factory).

Its original design was focused on modded features (large amours and factorissimo entrances), and its nice to see other usefulness discovered on top of that.

Ironically enough, as of Space Age it gets a couple more "vanilla" features.
One is that its possible to get armors with high runspeeds by using Quality.
The second is that (as I pointed out on the main page) any tile which has a walking speed slower than the hover speed will cause the Mech Armor to switch into hover for a moment. So Slowdown Concrete can be used to trigger hover animations intentionally.
(The example image is my current "City Block" playthrough where I now automatically "jump" between blocks thanks to a ring of Slowdown Concrete)
