Overview

• Adds duplicate stone, steel, and electric furnaces that can consume an entire belt of ore per second.
• Best used together with loaders for clean, full-belt throughput.
• Optionally converts furnaces to assembling machines for better compatibility with mods like Krastorio 2.

Throughput and belt requirements

• Steel and electric furnaces have a crafting speed of 2.
• To keep up with a full belt per furnace, you either need:
  • A belt running twice as fast as the level of belt the furnace is balanced for
    • Example: use a red belt with a “yellow belt” furnace.
  • Or 2 belts of the expected level feeding the furnace.

Balance, fuel, and pollution

• Fuel consumption, pollution, and output per furnace are balanced to match the expected number of vanilla furnaces.
• In vanilla, each high-throughput furnace represents 48 furnaces’ worth of:
  • Fuel consumption.
  • Pollution.
  • Production.
• In Krastorio 2 (currently tested mainly with Spaced Out), each furnace represents 24 furnaces’ worth, since each furnace requires twice as much ore.

Unlocks and crafting

• Each furnace tier unlocks with its corresponding belt tier:
  • Higher tiers unlock when you research the matching transport belt.
• Furnaces are crafted using the vanilla number of furnaces from the previous tier (this is configurable).
