g Good mod!

Hi, I'm using this mod instead of vehicle physics, cause this one has a much better sensation of drifting, and has settings. Its very cool!

I'd recommend you to explain the "handling" option, cause it took me a while to figure it out. And is it possible to make maneuvers like a reverse 180? For whatever reason it keeps the momentum backwards once you turned, I think because it needs to "stop" before you can change direction backward-forward.

Thanks for making this!

Yeah, I should probably add some descriptions on the settings.

As for the maneuvers, the way this mod works is by storing a velocity vector internally, making changes to it based on the car's real speed and direction, and teleporting the car each tick. You can't actually set a movement vector of the car internally, and accelerating/decelerating the car affects it's real speed, not the mod's internal speed. If you manage to 180 your car, the car's real speed is pointing in the complete opposite direction, so pressing reverse would still slow you down.

Perhaps I should revisit the physics system one day (since it is far from perfect, but still pretty good) but for now I've made it so when you press the opposite direction of the mod's internal vector, it will flip the car's internal speed, allowing for the 180 maneuver.

Yoooooooo, this is crazy hahaha! Factorio drift now possible!
I always wanted to make some kind of racing circuit, but with the rigid driving in vanilla it didn't really make sense, unless you put ammo to fight biters or set a lot of obstacles. Now it has more possibilities.

I imagined something of the sort, because when you get stuck in something (happens often with my driving skills) and you delete that something, you usually get pushed a litttle in the direction you were going.

Thanks for the descriptions (I thought handling was just rate of turning, not at high speeds xd), and thanks for your quick fix!
Though a bit tricky to pull off, now you can do it just fine.
Going to enjoy styling on biters with a tank on nuclear fuel!

This mod is the next best thing after 16bit version of Rock'n'Roll Racing.
