Sentient Spiders


Kick that raw fish into overdrive and give spidertrons a little sentience, as a treat. Spidertrons automatically follow their last driver. Idle spidertrons wander around the factory. Stuck spidertrons try to find another path to their destination.

With SpaceExploration, do Spidertron followers start wandering if the player travels to a different planet?

Yes, when a player goes to a different planet than the spidertron, the spidertron will loose its follow target and may start wandering around.

But your comment gave me some ideas to think about, so hopefully in the next release there will be more specific compatibility for SE.

Right now, they should still follow you again if you enter or exit a vehicle. But for the next release I will have the spiders re-follow the player when you return to the planet as well :)

Hey markdf, in version 0.0.3 when you change planets any spidertrons that were following you will stay still for 5 minutes, and then begin wandering if all other wander conditions are met. When you return to the planet, the spidertrons will re-follow your character.

Will this work with factorio space age v2.0.x(15) update? Or is this strictly for factorio (not space age) ?

I need to do a bit of work to get it updated to support space age. Hopefully I will have some time this week or next, but yes- I plan to have it fully functional for space age expansion :)

Cant wait for 2.0. I tried to modify the mod myself, but I keep getting type chunk errors.
