Seasonal Solar changes day duration.
It uses accurate astronomical calculations to compute dusk, evening, morning and dawn. Normally, solar is 70% efficient, meaning that in a day it produces 70% of nominal. In the summer, that number skyrockets to 83.67%. On the other hand, in the winter it plummets to a measly 41.32%, half that of summer! Enjoy plenty of power in the summer and slim down your production in the winter.
Change through the year
For now I am using a 365 day year and other parameters similar to Earth. Plotting times through the year it looks a little like this:
This is how solar efficiency changes through the year
Development
Currently I am expecting it would not mesh great with mods that do very creative things with surfaces (like Space Exploration).
In the future I will add support to select latitude, year length and planet axial tilt. Additionally, there is a small issue with new surfaces. If you add a new surface (like reaching a new planet in Space Age) you will have to reload to work on that planet.
