Engines consume 50 nuclear LRF per second, same as standard LRF despite the nuclear version having ~41x the fuel density. Is it possible to reduce the fuel consumption of the engine when using nuclear LRF?
Good spot - Nuclear LRF is 41x more power dense and hence should burn 41x times slower.
This is in the new update - as well as the option to burn biters with the Nuclear LRF powered flamethrower turret.
Engines still seem to be consuming 50 Nuclear LRF per second in 0.1.1. The recipe still seems to be 5 Nuclear LRF every 0.1 second.
