Adds 8 (15 counting variations) new turrets for dealing with alien menace, as well as other military-related items. Good compliment to mods that add new biter types, like Rampant or Natural Evolution.

Given that all of the mods that allowed for bots to load turrets appear to have been abandoned, could you add tiny, invisible, indestructible requester chests and inserters inside your mounts, so logibots can keep them loaded--without needing a spiderweb of belts, inserters, and power poles--and keep the requests updated as needed?

Sure, we can build them ourselves behind each mount, but belts and chests are pretty squishy--especially front-line turrets in front of the walls--and would need to be constantly repaired and replaced. What's more, they wouldn't be able to be as deeply integrated into the mod.

Does that sound doable?

It is doable, of course, but I want this mod to remain script-free on runtime.

Yes - that's how many mods implement entities that combine features of multiple separate ones. "Turret" + "Logistics Chest" + "Inserter" in one entity is not possible. To achieve this, you have to create a script that:
- spawns a "dummy" invisible requester chest on top of the turret whenever turret is placed (by hand or by bot)
- sets item requests in the chest
- when ammo arrives to the chest, manually transfer it to the turret
- if turret is deconstructed or destroyed (by hand, by bot, enemy attacks), despawn the dummy chest as well, and do something with the remaining ammo in the chest.

Well, to be fair, this wont hurt performance, is a one time thing per placement/deletion/destruction
What will consume CPU are logiBots but hey, they are there already..
