Thank you for making such a great mod.
I was originally using another auto-sort mod, but I switched to this mod as soon as I tried it.
It has all the features I really want, but the one thing that's really disappointing is the lack of a hotkey.
Would you mind adding three configurable hotkeys: one for the player inventory, one for the open chest inventory, and one for the auto-manual swap?
I was using a mod called "Manual Inventory Sorting."
This mod is also a great convenience.
This mod provides all three hotkeys and the GUI buttons.
However, when I enable the GUI buttons, the GUI button window becomes incredibly long horizontally, possibly due to a compatibility issue between mods.
So, I played with the GUI buttons disabled, but after discovering this mod, I think it's a better mod, at least for me, except for the lack of hotkeys.

Yup, building a mod gui in Factorio involves a ton of try and error. You have to guesstimate and try out everything.

Hotkeys is definitely a good idea i'll be adding to my todo list.
And i guess with auto-manual swap you mean a toggle button/hotkey to pause automatic sorting.

I am currently buried under a ton of work. So, it may take a few weeks, but hotkeys will come. Thanks for the suggestion.

i added a bunch of hotkeys, set them however you like. they are unset by default.
i also added a shortcut button to enable/disable autosort. the button may show the wrong state when loading an older savegame, but that is just a visual glitch.

now that the basic structure is finished, adding hotkeys becomes easy.
so, if you want more, just ask ;D

Is there any UI we see as often as the inventory while playing a game?
That's why, at least for me, this mod is the most valuable.

I just tried it out, and the shortcuts work perfectly.
The shortcuts are useful not only for simple toggles, but also for various conditions.
Also, the auto-align shortcut works fine, but it doesn't sync with the auto-align checkbox button on the GUI buttons.
Of course, it's completely usable. It's convenient!
