b [Fixed] A planet is missing a connection to anything

The mod "https://mods.factorio.com/mod/VoidProcessing/discussion"
has an issue with it's black hole 'planet". The "planet" has an approach location and for some reason there is no connection between the two, making the black hole itself inaccessible, I reported this issue a while ago and it was fixed then by this bug seems to have reappeared. I have reported this to the developer of that mod but I am unsure who exactly is capable of repairing this issue

There's a lot of potential reasons for this sort of issue, depending upon which mods are present (especially when Redrawn Space Compatibility is brought into consideration, with its various compatibility patches, specifically regarding Asteroid Belt).

Just to confirm the primary set of mods that might be related to the issue: You have Void Processing, Redrawn Space Compatibility (this mod), and Asteroid Belt enabled, at minimum? That would be the most likely combination, but just wanted to confirm so I'm not blindly testing different combinations of mods that may or may not be relevant.

Other possibly related causes might include Outer Rim and Shattered Planet? There's additional compatibility patches in place for those mods that might be affecting routes in that outer planet area.

EDIT: Never mind, this one is on me; I added the compatibility in 1.0.5, then split up the different compatibility sections into their own files, for better organization, and completely forgot to re-include the VoidProcessing part; the file is there, but never called on, so the compatibility is never applied. Simple enough to fix, though I wanted to fix some other discrepancies when testing with a limited modlist, should be out by the end of today (Oct 19)

Should be fixed in v1.0.10

I do have shattered planet and the planet tiers and it seems to be caused by something else cause the latest fix still hasn't fixed that and even removed a connection between fulgora and nauvis, leaving only nuvis to vulcanus and then from vulcanus to fulgora

I have:

"Organized solar system", which I do not believe changes connection and only positions in the map (I may be wrong here)
"Planetslib: tiers"
"Redrawn space conections"
"Starmap nexuz" but It is in a completely opposite direction and only affects the water planet and not these ones

And that is it, I will try to remove the shattered planet tho

I have no clue how to send the picture to try to explain over it what the issue is, but yeah nauvis right now after that last update is disconnected from fulgora

Okay, that shouldn't be possible; this mod has a specifically defined incompatibility with Organized solar system, because they are not intended to be used together. Since that mod rearranges the entire solar system, I have no support for it; any problems involving the usage of that mod should be fixed by that mod author.

Please be sure you are not confusing Redrawn Space Connections (the base mod that redefines routes between planets to prevent overlap) and Redrawn Space Compatibility (this mod, which adds compatibility fixes between the base mod and other mods to prevent unnecessary/unintentional routes)

Also, I don't know what OS you are using, but if on Windows, you can just use snipping tool to capture the area in-game, then upload the snapshot to imgur, which should provide shareable links you can use anywhere else. That's the simplest method to share screenshots imo

I am... I just looked at "Redrawn space co" and didn't realize there were two

I really think that there should be some renaming going on around here

Well at least now this mod is fixed...
It's a shame cause I REALLY like how the organized solar system looks more like an actual solar system

Alright I disabled the organized solar system and noticed an issue with cerys.
You know how cerys is a moon of fulgora? Well not anymore, around fulgora there is an orbit but cerys itself is just floating like 14 k kilometers away (visually)

alsol oralt is upside down the same with solar system edge, actually wait a moment every planet is upside down visually

I'd say thank god for me knowing my shattered planet sprite so well but actually this pains me. What a wild issue

Yeah, you're probably not wrong, the names are quite similar.. but I don't like lengthening it to something like "Redrawn Space Connections Compatibility", feels like a bit of a mouthful. Maybe necessary in future though

I.. can't say I see what you mean, that mod always seemed off to me, I just never liked the look of it lol.

Neither depiction is very realistic, since real planets can't be in the same orbit, or even remotely close to the same orbits, so neither the default/vanilla locations nor Organized Solar System is very accurate to reality. Maybe more aesthetically pleasing..? But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose!

Alright I disabled the organized solar system and noticed an issue with cerys.
...

More importantly, this does sound like an issue... actually, looking back at the list of mods you mentioned, I think I need to add an incompatibility with Starmap Nexuz, because that mod does something similar to Interstellar Travel (which is already marked Incompatible), since it seemingly moves a lot of the modded planets outside of the Nauvis system.

I'm not sure how useful this mod is in those scenarios, I don't think you would even need the original Redrawn Space Connections mod, since Nauvis connections shouldn't be that messy... although I guess there might be some planets left in the Nauvis system?

Then again, considering that Starmap Nexuz mod hasn't been updated in 8 months... I probably just wouldn't use it, it seems to be lacking support for many modern planet mods, quite out of date compared to Interstellar Travel. I probably wouldn't want to add support for it. Even the mod author themselves doesn't seem to recommend using it lol

But the starmap nexus is really nice to look at... Though I still am trying to find the single mod that turned all planets upside down

Also organized solar system with enough planets allowed you to go the other way around the sun which I though was great cause the way you normally travel between planets is kinda boring. There are no shortcuts or anything even when it would make more sense to travel from A to B instead of A to C to B

That is the one thing that Organized Solar System does well, because of the way its functionality is integrated with PlanetsLib Tiers, putting the planets in a generally playable order, with scaling difficulty, and enforcing minimal direct routes between planets.

I personally prefer the web of planet routes myself (hence why this compatibility mod exists, to tighten up the loose ends caused by RSC), but I can see why some might prefer a more restrictive layout.

Basically the only alternative I can offer is Asteroid Belt, which splits the planets roughly by their tiers, so you have the early-game inner planets, separated from the late-game outer planets, by an asteroid belt, representing a clear divide in terms of difficulty.

But either way, I won't be supporting either of those two mods, since they change too much about the solar system for me to deal with, especially if I won't be playing with those mods myself (Asteroid Belt is all I need lol)

Though I still am trying to find the single mod that turned all planets upside down

Hope you figure out what's been causing that btw
