Recycler Progression

Why wait until Fulgora to get a recycler? This mod adds a full four-tier recycler progression starting on Nauvis, so you can start recovering resources long before you ever leave the home planet.

Overview

In vanilla Space Age, the recycler is locked behind Fulgora's magnetic field — you can't even craft it on Nauvis. Recycler Progression introduces three new recycler tiers (Recycler 1–3) that fit naturally into the Nauvis tech tree, each upgrading into the next. The vanilla recycler becomes Recycler 4, now also unlockable on Nauvis via its own dedicated technology.

The Four Tiers

All tiers support in-place upgrading via the upgrade planner.

Recipes

Default (predecessor as ingredient)

Each tier requires the previous tier as a crafting ingredient, keeping the overall cost lower.

Alternative (standalone recipes)

Each recycler can be crafted independently at a higher material cost. Enable in mod settings.

Settings

Use predecessor as crafting ingredient (Startup)
When enabled (default), each recycler recipe requires the previous tier as an ingredient.
When disabled, each recycler can be crafted from scratch at a higher material cost.

Compatibility

• Requires Space Age and Quality
• The vanilla recycler entity and internal name (recycler) are unchanged — save-game compatible with other mods referencing the vanilla recycler
• The vanilla recycling technology is preserved and still unlocks Fulgora scrap processing
