I'm not sure if there is any good tutotials at all.

It is advisable to learn the logic of combinators at least at a minimum level: https://wiki.factorio.com/Tutorial:Combinator_tutorial

You can check out this mod (use the editor to get to a new planet faster): https://mods.factorio.com/mod/linox
This mod is in development, but it forces you to build mini-factories.

Or you can search for "factorio JOSEF" on YouTube. There are outdated versions, but you can understand the logic of creating circuits.

I guess I don’t understand the very basics. I tried placing a BAD Chest, put a small blueprint into it, and connected a constant combinator where I set the construction robot signal (I enabled its use in the mod settings). And nothing happened. No construction at all. I also tried deconstruction blueprints — same result, nothing happens.

Apparently, I’m doing something wrong.
Probably something obvious to everyone except me 🙂

You're trying to use a new deployer with the old control signals.

Here is a valid example to start with:

About signals... in your example signal "man in hat" with 10 deconstructs...
Which values used?

One for construction, the other for deconstruction.
Coordinates in the lower constant combinator.

Take a look at the tips and tricks about the BAD chest.

This is my test setup. Here I was checking the coincidence between the construction and the deconstruction. The fix will be in the next version.

The videos you reference are also very old… even just a few words explaining the signals would help a lot.
