Hi

I started a new game with this mod pack (which I cant wait to play)

After adding my startup settings, and clicking start, it transitions to the game. It crashes at the point where the initial panning of the camera plus crashed space ship is on fire with the explosions, I can play for about 5 seconds and then it CTDs. I am not using any additional mods, and have played the game on this machine with 'huge mod lists' and this is the first time this is happening.

Are there any suggestions about what I can do to improve the performance? Thanks

Hmm, it must be some setting that you set. I have no idea what that could be, could ya try with default settings and make sure it works with no changed settings?

Glad you're excited to play the modpack!!! I definitely want to know how your run goes when ya manage to play it!

My runs take donkey's years to finish since I build enormous mega-bases an I use a tech multiplier that further multiplies the price of research. The runs go well but I never actually finish the game. I think I need more RAM - which will allow me to blow past the issue, its a RAM spike causing the issue.
