Quality Trees!
Plant a quality seed, grow a quality tree, returns quality ingredients after harvest.
Balanced?
It is now!
Currently we take the final harvest amount to be 1/X where X is the quality level.
This means you harvest yumako at the following amounts: 50 -> 25 -> 16 -> 12 -> 8
This will work with modded plants, but there may be unintended consequences for low yielding plants (i.e. 1 result) as that will always be returned.
You can change this behaviour and go back to the full 50 output even at legendary via the mod settings!
Features
- Agricultural towers will plant with quality, and harvest with quality.
- The player will harvest with quality. (but you cannot plant quality seeds by hand)
- When in balanced mode (changed in mod settings) higher quality plants will result in less output, which balances positive feedback loops.
Compatibility
Automatically works for any seed prototype ( for agricultural tower on events ), and should therefore be compatible with a range of mods.
Note from the Author
Ever since getting to the end of my first Space Age play-through, I was thoroughly disappointed to realize that when I up-cycled seeds, planting them yielded no results. For that reason, I jumped through hoops making Quality Seeds, my first ever mod to work around trying to get quality trees into the game. This also led to the creation of my many other mods - often Gleba focused.
Finally, after requesting the ag tower on events, and the devs quick implementation, my first ever idea for a mod is possible - and now trivially easy to make! I would just like to extend my thanks to this community, for all those that have enjoyed my mods in anyway, and for the devs for being so onto it in making mods so accessible!
