Hello LordMiguel!
I just wanted to tell u about an idea that crossed my mind some days ago, a new mod that, for some players, could be a challenge, but probably for EVERYONE, will practically be HELL: Gleba's LIVING moon!
Concept
Do u remember the "Lickmaw"? (I think that was the plant, not sure if its another and i'm wrong), the living "being" that literally eats flesh?! What if this "plant" behaves like a parasitic entity? expanding... eating... absorbing... asimilating!! (like Venom, from Marvel xd)
A new foe enters the ring! jsjsjjs, but one completely different from what players have faced through this years of Factorio, an enemy that cant be harmed in the convenional ways (fire could be the best way actually!! fire kills everything!!), the floors could be alive too, the water contaminated, even spores could be an evolution of this pandemic entity!!
But, where did it come from? GLEBA'S MOON! If that name could suit it... Its not a moon, cause its alive! The entire gleba's moon is a living being, like the Brethren Moons from DeadSpace: https://deadspace.fandom.com/wiki/Brethren_Moons
The lickmay is the main parasitic form that lives in gleba's moon, since its the central hive of the infection.
Mechanics
Since we now have a new planet/moon, how do we play around the pandemic mechanics? I personally have some ideas of what could happen:

The lickmaw is incredibly aggresive: anything that touches the surface of the moon will be atacked from the ground itself (as its alive), damaging all structures on top. How to solve it? "fumigation towers", structures that will spray a sustance like anti-biotic (or something related), in a constant rate, so the infection is hold in line!

The lickmaw will eventually get full aware of ur presence and possible threats to the hive, so it will start creating swarms to attach you. Then, creating more complex living forms, to make consistent and special attacks! (like gigantic "baloon"s like insects that on dead explode in a rain of acid, damaging anything related to iron/steel directly more that copper and so on )

In one of two scenarios, you did manage the infection and made ur way out of the moon, taking the sciences and all the things with u... but the lickmaw is inteligent, it send one of it's "seeds" in ur ship!, and u, as the completely unaware player that u are, are gonna give it the opportunity to expand to other planets! A full planetary infection begins! Each planet getting infected, the lickmaw consuming and mutating the natives into stronger and specialized living forms, evolved to fight back in a completely new way!
In the other one, you manage the pandemic infection the correct way, and bring back with u something new, a mutagen of the lickmaw that """actually""" could be inofensive, and then develop it, make it evolve in a specific way that, by so, will be able to be used to produce parasitic science! Making so that u never need to go back to the moon again! (since its extremaly dangerous, but well, to prevent the player to actually never come back, what it could be made is that, after certain times, the docile lickmaw loses strenght, so the player must venture again to the moon to recover specimens and restore/replace the docile lightmaw)

At this point i'm literally just dropping ideas as i think about them xdd, but dude, a literall hell of a planet could be an extreme challenge, a new version of "x100 science" mode, or "death world", but more dinamic and fresh.
And... well, as u are the gleba guy, looking at ur mods, i'm confident that if someone could bring this idea to life, then that player is you! Even if some people will consider it a completely unnecesary mod (since it could be extremely difficult), it could become THE most difficult mod, taking the place of Rampant, for example xd.
