This was unfortunately a side-effect of having to solve some bugs introduced by fixing other bugs, i have yet to figure out how to add an empty inventory + empty modules + nothing upgraded circuit based check, until then you'd have to use a power switch im afraid. (or configure a lower power usage)
well it wasn't a redesign, this second skin had been a startup setting for a while now but i decided to permanently upgrade to it, and as for the sounds: it was simply an earraping accumulator before, now its the base sound of the recycler, if you know of a better sound from within the game or another mod with a permissive licence im willing to consider swapping to it.
while also, hearing at it more closely, i realized that the sound is playing practically at the same speed for different qualitys of condensers, so, different speeds.
For now, I just added raw sounds from the Factorio Data folder, sounds like looping ones, as well as "play one time" like. Probably with a combination of them It could work. However, if u would like a simplier solution, u could try the Fusion reactor entity sound, or the Cryogenic plant as well, both fit almost perfectly.
I'd love to see maybe a mod setting to completely disable the sound effect, it's not bad but it gets annoying quickly if you're running multiple condensers (Telogistics mod did something like that)
I updated to the most recent version and the condenser doesn't stop. Either when it's empty or when it's full of max quality items. It only seems to pause for a few seconds after upgrading items, but then keeps working constantly.
Is that a specific game version? If so, no. Standard steam version.
It might be a mod conflict, since the Condenser seems to have base 2000% quality, even if I leave the setting at 0. If it is a mod conflict, best to ignore this. Too many mods to test.
