Hello it's me again with another idea.

Given how powerful this is, it would be nice to have a configurable power usage for the QC. The reason being is something so powerful for me should have some tradeoff (especially as the lost product tradeoff reduces the higher the quality gets). I'd like to make the power usage of this immense so it brings my factory to its knees when the QC is running.

the problem with power usage is that with just a few cheap green modules you could drop it to -80%, and i think blocking modules and/or scaling the power with quality might become, i think we'd need some concrete ideas/values before deciding upon how exactly to tackle this issue, anyone may suggest:

I was just thinking of having a setting in the mod settings so people can set it to whatever they want for now. They can keep it default or others like me can crank it up for massive power usage.

I really like your suggestion of blocking green modules as well as scaling up the power with quality. I didn't even think about that but it is a perfect way of offsetting the value it provides in a way that makes sense and isn't super annoying to address. I'll leave the implementation details and values to you and/or others more competent at balancing to decide.

In the meantime though could we have a configurable setting that would allow a quick solution to the problem while working on the other ideas?

sure here you go, 1.0.4 now has configurable base power usage, let me know which values feel fair, defaults to 2.5 mw.

I wanted to say thank you for this. I downloaded the update as soon as you released it yesterday and went to play I forgot to thank you for the speed in which you always reply and update your mods. I am not entirely unconvinced you are some Chat GPT bot with the speed of your replies and mod updates...

P.S I am using your power config for the QC and setting it to 30 GW per machine. Just 2 of your machines tax my base considerably. I love it!
