Cargo bays whose throughput scales with quality: higher-quality cargo bays gain extra input/output hatches and a larger inventory bonus. Before uninstalling, turn the mod's Enabled setting off and load your save once (or run /qcb-revert) to convert bays back to vanilla.
Small changes concerning balance, gameplay, or graphics.
Version: 0.0.1
Date: 2026-07-16
Features:
- Higher-quality cargo bays are swapped on build to hidden per-quality variants with extra
cargo-pod hatches (standard cargo bay) and a larger inventory bonus (both the cargo bay
and the landing-pad unloading bay). Scaling is tunable via startup settings.
- Variants are generated for every quality (including modded/renamed tiers) and mine back to
the vanilla item at their quality.
Info:
- Extra hatches reuse the base bay's own hatch definitions and offsets, so they line up with
the bay's real pod opening instead of being placed on a computed ring. The vanilla cargo bay
defines a single hatch, so extra hatches stack on that opening; throughput still scales with
hatch count.
- Uninstall safety: turn off the Enabled setting and load once, or run /qcb-revert, to convert
all bays back to vanilla before removing the mod (otherwise the engine deletes variant bays
whose prototype no longer exists).
- Requires heroic-library >= 2.1.1, the first version that loads (2.1.0 shipped without
recipe.lua and failed at the data stage).
