Thank you for your kind words :) I'm glad to hear it's at least somewhat working in MP. I think I know how to fix that so I'll be pushing out an update soon.
In the meantime, you can either use the keyboard shortcut or disable the mod button in player settings and then re-enable it (while in game)—that setting change should force create the button.
