When I tried to play the game after installing your mod, it completely froze and crashed. If I try to load my existing save game, it gets stuck at 'checking consistency'. But, if I start a new game, everything works fine.

It's not really a bug, during the check consistency step the game is updating all the powered buildings to expand their power radius, so the more entities you have, the worse it's going to get. You could try de-powering your entire base, saving, then loading the mod before re-powering.
