Blueprints in the latest experimental save power wire connections just like circuit wires. This makes your mod kind of mandatory to make sure wires in blueprints are saved in a tidy manner.

One problem people are having is old blueprints without the wire connection data get built improperly sometimes. It would be really cool if you added a drop zone like in the upgrade planner or Blueprint Extensions mod, where you click with a blueprint and the connections inside it get added or organized.

Not sure if the API supports that kind of thing yet but if so that would be an amazing feature.
