Plastics


This mod adds few recipes that are using plastics. Plastic in game has almost no uses, while IRL it has a lot of uses. This mod tries to replace some of your factory iron and copper usage with plastic and sulfuric acid usage, so oil becomes more valuable.

This mod adds few recipes that are using plastics.
Plastic in game has almost no uses, while IRL it has a lot of uses.

secondary recipes for :
repair pack
green chips
transport belts
pipe
LDS (1 steel, 10 copper, 40 plastics)
few machines and car

Plastic recipes are also (sometimes) quicker to craft, so they are just better alternative, overall. Hopefully this will cause plastic to be more important element in factory (maybe almost as important as iron), and by extension of that, this might cause oil to be very valuable - which I also miss in vanilla game.

This mod also adds 2 recipes that are unlocked by researching advanced circuits-2 (blue chips).
these recipes symbolize more advanced way to produce chips, and add some use for sulphuric acid

(3 seconds, 10 plastic, 10 copper, 10 sulf-acid -> 10 green chips)
(12 seconds, 8 green chips, 16 plastic, 12 copper, 10 sulf-acid -> 4 red chips)

Main reason for these 2 recipes is - becasue plastic recipes replaced a lot of iron requirement, so I wanted to make factory copper requirement lower as well, for balance.
