PLAYER OXYGEN SURVIVAL
Early planets are not breathable.
Your suit oxygen drains while outside safe zones and refills near:
- the crash site
- oxygen-producing infrastructure

As the world becomes more habitable, oxygen pressure eases and exploration becomes safer.
IMPORTANT DESIGN NOTES
- Terraform stats do not rise passively
- Machines must be powered, supplied, and actively working
- Producer machines make terraform materials
- Consumer buildings convert those materials into permanent progress
- Oxygen is both a planetary terraform stat and a player survival mechanic
- Later terraforming stages reduce survival pressure as the atmosphere improves
