This mods aims to make ores more compact to transport at the cost of a process. Turn ores into their dissolved version and then reconstitute them where you need them, or optionally a second step to crystalize them for farther compactness aimed towards making it more compact to ship with spaceage rockets. The mod revolves around Aqua Regia, to dissolve ore into a liquid (default 1 ore = 20 liquid) you need aqua regia, when you reconstitute you get most of your aqua regia back. The attrition level for aqua regia is configurable but default aims towards making it 25% more efficient to transport it as a liquid. The mod has support for vanilla, spaceage, and space exploration ores. The attrition rate is balanced to be higher based on how low the stacksize of the ore is, roughly 2% per 10 gap (configurable), this is more relevant in space exploration where the planetary ores has a lower stacksize thus compacting them becomes more expensive. All recipes are chemistry (in the chem plant) and is gated behind a science tech after chemical science.
Contents (Default mod settings):
- Aqua Regia: 400 steam + 10 sulfuric acid into 10 Aqua Regia.
- Dissolve Ore: Turn 90 ores (such as iron ore) + 100 Aqua Regia into 1800 dissolved ore (Dissolved iron ore).
- Reconstitute Ore: Turn 1800 dissolved ore into 90 ore and 98 Aqua Regia.
- (Optional, default enabled in spaceage): Crystalize Ore: Turn 1800 dissolved ore into 60 Crystalized version of it.
- (Optional, default enabled in spaceage): Decrystalize Ore: 62 Crystalized ore back into 1800 dissolved ore, with some ore attrition on the result, roughly 2%.
- (Optional, default enabled): Reconstitute Ore (Acid Recovery): Turn 1800 dissolved ore into 88 ore + 100 aqua regia, paying attrition on the material instead of the liquid.
The mod is configurable, attrition rate, liquid per ore, crystal stacksize, enabling acid recovery or crystallization.
