Molybdenum

A light overhaul of the oil chain: a distillation tower splits crude oil into four cuts that you clean over a molybdenum catalyst. Molybdenum and rhenium from your copper ore go into catalysts, molybdenum steel and superalloy. Integrates with Brevven's BZ mods.

Running the Fluffy mods all together (+ other mods) causes Factorio to take an excessively long time to start.

Excerpt from log (Ryzen 9 7950x3d CPU):

can you please retry? I think I might have been able to fix that by improving some startup checks. If this doesn't help, can you send me your full mod list or even better a save so I can figure out where the excessive load times are coming from?

I can't really explain the long load times given you have an extremely beefy CPU (I "only" run on a MacBook Air m4). It seems it's a mod combination that kicks in in a bad way. I just tested with a mod profile with >17000 recipes and >1500 technologies and it antimony took "only" 6 seconds. I could improve a few things and now in this setup its 0.5 seconds.

Can you try the new version I just uploaded?

In the meantime I will look for further opportunities to improve load time. Still puzzled why you have such super big load times... Can you share the contents of your mod-list.json so I can try with the same mudpack on my machine?

Ok this was now quite some rabbit hole. I released each mod with quite some startup improvements that should kick kin in large mod packs. Curious what your timings are with the updates, I am hoping it should be significantly faster

Hey, thank you for the improvements!
I've uploaded settings/save/log from my server here if you want to check the times:

Thank you! Spent a it of time this afternoon and could shave off a few more seconds.

It's a quite large modpack you have there with 32k recipes (a lot of them generated due to recycling and k2so). On my machine I could bring the total fluffy modpack mods in your pack down to 25s (from 30s with the yesterday released versions). I am afraid I am running out of low hanging fruits to further optimize.

For modpacks that are not quite as large as yours, loading the mods should feel very very quick due to the optimizations.

Thank you again for bringing this to attention!
