Version: 0.4.0
Date: 2026-10-16
Features:
- Require cobalt (nickel fallback) in normal supported catalysts, chromium in molybdenum steel, native platinum ingots in rhenium catalysts, molybdenum oxide in Inconel and zirconia in turbine blades when their provider branches can safely join the same research tier.
- Normal polyacrylonitrile uses a circulating bismuth-molybdate catalyst with 98% return. Catalyst manufacture unlocks with PAN; native feed ratios and output rates are retained.
- Add molybdenum-lubricated bearings and reinforced hulls as distinct parts. Reviewed downstream machinery replaces native bearings and hulls 1:1. Oxide-and-sulfur bearing finishing supports Fulgora's recovered oxide.
- Early BZ foundries become required for dry molybdenum steel and superalloy recipes. Space Age without an early foundry retains starter alloy manufacturing.
Compatibility:
- Preserve native early parts for the first distillation tower. Join only acyclic provider branches at the existing science tier, respect exact recipe bypasses, and retain complete final-host bills and metadata.
- New parts support normal quality, recycling and SE delivery cannons. Hidden complete-bill aliases preserve machines assigned to replaced optional recipes on upgrades.
Version: 0.3.5
Date: 2026-10-16
Features:
- Complete K2/SE material links: shared K2 hydrogen, molybdenum steel beams, rare-metal trace recovery, optional pure-K2 superalloy turbines, SE methane reforming, direct liquid rocket fuel, rhenium/superalloy spaceship engines and optional iridium engines.
- Optional sulfur-dioxide scrubber feeds compose with native ChemistryForYou processing and Caesium. SE delivery cannons ship every core material and catalyst, including late-created bismuth molybdate.
Compatibility:
- RP-1 fuel follows its actual oxygen supply and works in native fuel refineries. Peroxide replaces oxygen while preserving seals, iron, ceria and other final ingredients. Native fuel values and original recipes remain intact.
- Preserve stored hydrogen when joining K2's fluid. Final-host alternatives retain coproducts, categories, restrictions, whole batches, crafting time and productivity; joint research never delays the rocket silo.
Version: 0.3.4
Date: 2026-10-16
Bugfixes:
- Remove the steam turbine's inherited 100-degree input requirement from Molybdenum's fuel-burning turbine on Factorio 2.1.22. Refinery fuels work at their ordinary temperatures.
Compatibility:
- K2 and Space Exploration turbines: translate removed fluid-box temperature bounds into Factorio 2.1.22 generator input-temperature bounds. Retain stricter existing bounds, efficiency temperature ratings, power/fuel values and recipe quantities.
Version: 0.3.3

Compatibility:
- Derive whole batches from final host recipes, preserving products, crafting time per input batch, machine categories and restrictions. Joint research follows advanced oil processing, native unlocks and inherited material providers. Originals remain available; optional recipes disable ingredient recycling and share native productivity.
- Planetfall experimental intermediates stay controlled by their own settings. Finished reinforced hulls provide an optional molybdenum route into Radioactive Elements' hull-based isotope reactor.
Version: 0.3.2
Date: 2026-10-16
Features:
- Optional Nylon povidone and ChemistryForYou lithium-hydroxide lubricant recipes use molybdenite for 50% more lubricant. Antimony trioxide adds a further 25% in combined variants.
Compatibility:
- Preserve the final native ingredients, coproducts, categories, surface conditions, productivity restrictions and time per input batch. Original lubricant routes remain available; optional variants follow their host and material research and disable ingredient recycling.
- Lithium lubricant follows Caesium's existing lithium-carbonate coproduct and ChemistryForYou purification when present. Without a craftable lithium feed the variants are skipped; dormant provider recipes are never unlocked.
Version: 0.3.1
Date: 2026-10-16
Features:
- Optional peroxide rocket fuel: 50 rocket kerosene and 100 hydrogen peroxide make 1 fuel in 10 seconds. With Neodymium, use 25 rocket kerosene and retain ceria. Keep native seals and other additives; peroxide replaces nitric acid.
- Optional zirconia turbine blades: 8 Inconel, 2 air bearings and 1 zirconia make 1 blade in 15 seconds. The ordinary recipe and every inherited part remain available.
Bugfixes:
- Ceria now halves rocket kerosene in the ordinary fuel recipe: 30 instead of 60 per fuel. Existing nitric-acid reductions and unrelated host parts survive.
- A shared productivity effect inherited through both fuel parents counts once.
Compatibility:
- New recipes wait for both final hosts and every material provider, preserve coproducts and restrictions, and disable ingredient recycling. Standard and Caesium acid routes stay unchanged outside K2.
Version: 0.3.0
Date: 2026-10-16
Features:
- BZ and material packs: alumina catalyst supports; nickel or cobalt promoters; platinum rhenium catalysts; chlorine regeneration; bismuth molybdate for polyacrylonitrile; natural-gas washing and tungsten flotation.
- Molybdenum steel uses chromium or manganese when available at its research tier. Superalloy prefers nickel, then cobalt, and one tantalum or tungsten strengthener. Later materials get optional recipes with 20% more alloy at the same time per input batch. Quicklime supplies an optional desulfurising route when Magnesium is absent.
- Chromium turbine blades replace gears. Bismanol supplies magnets when Neodymium's high-temperature magnets are absent; high-voltage regulators replace one fallback circuit when Gallium controls are absent. Early flow controllers replace four tower circuits with two controllers.
- Both BZ foundries make every dry molybdenum steel and superalloy variant. Space Age superalloy productivity includes the optional material variants.
- Chromium's Inconel 718 uses molybdenum oxide. Alkylation returns BrimStuff depleted acid. Final host parts, oil coproducts and catalyst returns are preserved.
Bugfixes:
- Component-based electric furnaces retain every provider part and receive the existing two-oxide heating-element dose.
- Repair renamed Factorio 2.1 fields in pinned BrimStuff, BZ Silicon/Tin, Nickel/Cobalt and GasGasGases providers without changing their quantities or probabilities.
Compatibility:
- Combined Timeken/Nylon profiles still fail the energy-cycle audit on upstream ethanolamine/magnesium chemistry. No provider recipe quantities are changed to hide this failure.
Version: 0.2.1
Date: 2026-10-12
Changes:
- Corrundum: chalcopyrite flotation uses 50 ore, 5 petroleum gas and 50 water to give 3 molybdenite and return 48 ore. Platinum doubles rhenium catalyst output: 1 rhenium, 1 platinum plate and 2 oxide make 2 catalysts. Flotation research follows the planet's ore processing and advanced oil processing; platinum catalyst research also waits for rhenium reforming.
- Asteroid collectors take 2 superalloy instead of 5 molybdenite; crushers take 2 molybdenum steel instead of 2 molybdenite. Recycling returns the new materials. Big mining drills and spidertrons keep their molybdenite costs.
- Gleba: bioleaching research also unlocks rhenium bioreduction in the biochamber. 50 rhenium liquor and 1 bioflux make 1 rhenium, so superalloy can be made locally.
Compatibility:
- Muluna's big rocket silo stays free of superalloy.
Version: 0.2.0
Date: 2026-10-12
Changes:
- Space Age shipping: molybdenite stacks to 50 and weighs 2 kg; molybdenum steel weighs 2.5 kg, matching steel. Fluid-only processes no longer accept quality modules that cannot improve their products.
- Updated the other-planets tip and material descriptions with local Vulcanus, Fulgora and Gleba production and the imports needed elsewhere.
- Fulgora: recycling research unlocks spent-catalyst recovery. 50 scrap and 20 sulfuric acid make 1 molybdenum oxide and 1 rhenium liquor in a chemical or cryogenic plant, so electric furnaces, production science, molybdenum steel, centrifuges, tanks and nuclear reactors can be made there. Superalloy works too, slowly: one rhenium takes 2,500 scrap.
- Gleba: jellynut research unlocks copper ore flotation with jelly. 50 copper ore, 1 jelly and 50 water give 2 molybdenite and return 48 ore, like naphtha flotation on Nauvis. With bioleaching, Gleba makes its own molybdenum oxide and steel.
- Agricultural science unlocks bioleaching: bioflux and molybdenite make molybdenum oxide, rhenium liquor and sulfuric acid in a biochamber.
- Infinite superalloy productivity adds 10 % per level to ordinary, tungsten and lanthanum superalloy. It uses red, green, blue, space and metallurgic science.
- Foundries roast molybdenite and make alloys; electromagnetic plants scrub roaster gas; cryogenic plants run gas chemistry; biochambers crack kerosene and naphtha. The original machines remain available.
- Metallurgic science unlocks tungsten superalloy in the foundry: 25 superalloy per rhenium instead of 20.
- Vulcanus skarn flotation can use 50 steam instead of water, alongside the existing water recipe.
- Gas turbines refuse heavy oil; process it into lighter fuels first. Gas oil still burns. Turbines already running on heavy oil stop with the fuel-refusal status after upgrading.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a crash on loading when a sibling mod unlocks a gas turbine part with a research that is finished by an action instead of science packs, such as Space Age's foundry.
Version: 0.1.2
Date: 2026-10-12
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a crash on loading with Muluna, which turns the rocket silo research into a crafting goal.
- Flotation no longer allows quality: quality modules could upgrade the returned copper and tungsten ore almost without loss.
- Recycling tanks, thrusters, rocket silos, big mining drills and other changed buildings now returns their molybdenum steel, superalloy and molybdenite. The distillation tower and gas turbine recycle into their parts.
Changes:
- Big and huge volcanic rocks on Vulcanus give some molybdenite next to their tungsten ore, enough for the first big mining drill.
- The gas turbine needs air, so it can no longer be built on space platforms. It burns only refinery fuels and stops for anything else, such as thruster fuel.
- New recipe: solid fuel from 25 gas oil without a catalyst, so a distillation tower on Aquilo never backs up.
- With Rubia, the rocket silo can be crafted on Rubia without superalloy, using Rubia's own silo recipe.
- A Factoriopedia tip lists what to bring to other planets: superalloy for every rocket silo and molybdenite for the first big mining drill.
- The distillation tower is no longer copied by Tenebris Prime and Rabbasca, whose copies skipped its side swapping.
Version: 0.1.1
Date: 2026-10-12
Features:
- Tellurium: roaster gas reduces tellurium dioxide instead of coal and gives its sulfuric acid and rhenium liquor on the way.
- Gallium: hydrogen reduces arsenic oxide instead of coal, 5 arsenic instead of 4.
- Caesium: the caesium catalyst also gives 20 % more sulfuric acid from hydrogen sulfide, at half the pollution.
- Cadmium: roasting with an impregnated filter gives 40 % more rhenium.
- Phosphorus: tributyl phosphate gets 1 rhenium out of 40 rhenium liquor instead of 50. The preservation cabinet takes molybdenum steel.
- Magnesium: an optional heated evaporator recipe takes 10 molybdenum steel instead of 20 steel.
- Antimony: antimony trioxide makes 25 % more moly lubricant.
- Neodymium: lanthanum oxide makes 25 superalloy instead of 20.
Bugfixes:
- Adding Molybdenum to a running game now also completes research it puts in front of research you have finished, for example cadmium plating before advanced oil processing or advanced oil processing before nuclear power. The distillation tower and buildings such as the nuclear reactor can be made right away.
- With Neodymium and Gallium, the magnet crystal puller takes molybdenum steel like the normal crystal puller.
Version: 0.1.0
Date: 2026-10-12
Features:
- A light overhaul of the oil chain: advanced oil processing becomes a distillation tower that splits crude oil into sour gas, naphtha, kerosene and gas oil. Basic oil processing stays.
- Clean the cuts over a molybdenum catalyst: gas wash, naphtha reforming and hydrotreating, with a catalyst loop through furnace cleaning.
- Convert the cuts into each other: kerosene cracking, hydrocracking, slurry hydrocracking, steam cracking and alkylation.
- Molybdenum and rhenium from copper ore: flotation, roasting or pressure leaching, gas scrubbing, and rhenium recovery with hydrogen or hydrogen sulfide.
- Hydrogen sulfide becomes sulfur, sulfuric acid, sulfided catalysts or rhenium; sour gas can be reformed into hydrogen.
- Rhenium reforming for more light oil and hydrogen.
- Molybdenum steel is required in robot frames, artillery, armor, exoskeletons, combat shotguns, cannon shells, tanks, nuclear reactors, heat exchangers and centrifuges; superalloy in the rocket silo and rocket parts; rhenium in satellites.
- Gas turbine: 5 MW from refinery gases and refined fuels. Sour gas pollutes three times as much; crude oil is refused.
- Rocket fuel from 60 rocket kerosene, molybdenum lubricant, naphtha flamethrower ammo and new flamethrower turret fuels.
- The distillation tower shows vapour and an amber glow while working. R on a placed tower swaps its west and east sides.
Compatibility:
- Links with the element family: Neodymium, Caesium, Phosphorus, Gallium, Cadmium, Magnesium, Antimony and Tellurium.
- Space Age: thrusters take superalloy, Vulcanus gets molybdenite from tungsten ore, and the foundry casts molybdenum steel.
- Can be added to a running game: refineries that run advanced oil processing keep running.
Graphics:
- Distillation tower from Pure It; gas turbine and icons from Periodic Madness.
