Small changes concerning balance, gameplay, or graphics.
Furnaces, assembling machines, production chains.
Changes to power production and distribution.
how does speed affect the beacons? or is just power that gets changed?
Of all module effects, only power consumption is relevant for beacons. Speed doesn't affect them, and neither pollution nor productivity have any effect if other mods make beacons able to use modules which have those.
