MinimalWire - Clean Power Networks


MinimalWire is a quality of life mod that eliminates spaghetti and keeps your factory wires clean by enforcing efficient connections, using Kruskal's algorithm to produce a minimum spanning tree each time a power pole is added to the network. b Desync in multiplayer

Great mod, really appreciate what it does! Sadly my partner and I have run into a few desyncs after installing it. I think it has to do with copying and pasting structures that include power lines, but it doesn't happen every time. I will update if we can narrow it down any further.

We play with the "Host Game" option over the network. Thanks for your report! I have little experience with Factorio multiplayer so I may have overlooked how entity updates are shared between clients. Theoretically I made it deterministic in 1.0.5 so not sure why the inconsistencies are present but I'd be happy to try and figure it out with you. If you'd prefer to discuss on discord feel free to add me @SleepyStew. I shall check out your desync report, although to be transparent I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for. Oh also, if you both turn on debug mode (in mod settings) and notice any differences, it'd be super helpful if you could take some screenshots.

Thanks, we enabled debug mode and will reach out if we see it again! We've been having more luck and haven't seen this desync since the first post, so fingers crossed it stays that way.
