g Small request and small issue

(updated 5 years ago)

The request is to have chutes and the other loaders as two enable/disable settings. I like all the miniloaders, but I feel chutes are less balance-breaking. I'd like to use them more often if I played with some other people, without having to have the full suite of loaders enabled. On the note of balance, if chutes took two burner inserters and two plates, the cost would go up, but it would match the style of how the other recipes are (just a thought). Edit: maybe a single transport belt and two burners.

The small issue is sometimes when I place a belt and a loader snaps as the 'loading' side of an assembler, it sometimes doesn't insert items. It's not common, and all I have to do to fix it is to hit r-r, to swap the direction twice. I've had the issue once or twice with blueprints, so it is strange that it is not consistent (only happens like 1/20 snaps, at the very most)

A toggle will be easy.

The idea is that chutes are simple gravity feed devices, which is why they require no power, not even coal. I couldn’t justify charging more than 4 plates for something so simple.

I forgot to bring up another issue: Repairing chutes and maybe other mini-loaders sometimes doesn't change their HP pips. They do heal according to their health number, but their pips don't increase.

Should be fixed in v1.8.5.

And if you have a save where you can reproducibly get the snapping to misbehave, I'd love to see it.

I can try. Thanks for the other stuff. Edit: derp repeating myself

I found the 'bug': another mod I'm using ModMash, has miniloaders, which can be disabled. It doesn't disable its snapping behavior, causing the weird conflict (I finally found a reproduceable trigger, which I tested in sandbox).

Ironically, I'm a collaborator for ModMash, so maybe in a day or two I'll have it fixed :P I normally use your miniloaders over modmash's because yours are circuit connectable.
