I recommend changing the recipe for the chute to require a gear wheel. The gear wheel is the magical "move item without electricity" item. I see two potential approaches (current cost is 4 iron plates):
- 4 iron plates + 1 gear wheel.
- 3 iron plates + 1 transport belt.
I like the second option better. I know it increases the expense, but given the cheatiness of the chute, it is a reasonable cost. I'm assuming you were thinking of making a "box" with the 4 iron plates, so it doesn't make sense to reduce the number unless using the transport belt.
