When traveling to a space ship the weapon cannot be taken because the ammo is preventing the player from traveling. Since this ammo is generated via a suit equipment you either have to send the equipment individually or just have a rifle at each spot.

:( the moment i posted the response i noticed the spelling mistake in the title but i cannot change it.

i cant reproduce that issue, i can even take atomic bombs to the space platform even though they should weigh too much (not like the electric ammo weighs much)
what message is it giving you?
is the mod and factorio up to date?
any other mods that might mess with that?

Its a standard message from the base game that states that only armour and guns are allowed. No inventory, trash slots or ammo slots.

I just double checked and i am unable to take an atomic bomb in the ammo slot either.
This is using just the laser mod as well in my test.

i'm modding with all technologies unlocked and otherwise didn't play space age yet, so i'm not aware of this behaviour.
no clue which technology unlocks taking ammo with you, but for now the only thing i can suggest is removing the charger from your equipment grid

Make button for quick bar to disable charging for ammo - that will help. And there's no research for taking ammo in space. Player cannot take any item except armor, weapons and armor grid
