Even before I met any combat mode and experienced K2, the vanilla battle tank seemed very inadequate and funny to me at first glance. Although the developers have made up for the lack of a modern ground vehicle with the spidetron, I've always looked for an advanced tank in my vanilla gaming experiences. Because there is an indisputable fact that the vanilla tank looks more like a medium class armored vehicle than a tank.
K2, on the other hand, gives the player an experience of using a modern tank with high combat power.

The Tank cannon-A/ Tank cannon-B / Vehicle machine gun / Vehicle flamethrower distinction is a prime example of K2 creativity.
I honestly think the recipe is not very important for things like Tank that will be used in limited quantities. Why is that? Because for example: Logistics products (Belts etc), Production tools (Solar panel, furnace, Assembly machine), Intermediate products (Iron Gear Wheel, Copper Cable, Elect. Circuit), Ammo these are used a lot throughout the game a small increase in recipes or reduction makes a significant difference. But how many tanks are raided during the game? Even if there is a maximum of 10. AAi, this number will not go up much. So the recipe is symbolic.
The sensitive critical situation is:
1-) Where will the research order be?
2-) Will it be stronger or stronger than Spidetron?

(As research condition: Artillery (research), Spidetron added.
This will not make the spidetron pointless/unnecessary even if aai vehicles mod is not installed. Because spidertrons are smart mobile devices with controlled tracking feature. the player can make himself followed and have the spidetrons follow him inside the modern tank, (high firepower (rockets)
