I've been looking at the code and turns out I can't add the laser cannon to the tank without making it a bit cheaty. It needs the impulse rifle ammo and if I remove immersive crystal from it's recipe, it will make it too cheap.

Would you still be interested in the advanced tank if it only had the machine gun & the railgun cannon?

Even before I met any combat mode and experienced K2, the vanilla battle tank seemed very inadequate and funny to me at first glance. Although the developers have made up for the lack of a modern ground vehicle with the spidetron, I've always looked for an advanced tank in my vanilla gaming experiences. Because there is an indisputable fact that the vanilla tank looks more like a medium class armored vehicle than a tank.

K2, on the other hand, gives the player an experience of using a modern tank with high combat power.

-Physical size difference between them when they come together. visual reality
-High armor values
-Alternating ball cells (This feature is a serious deficiency of vanilla
->

"Tank cannon/ Vehicle machine gun / Vehicle flamethrower" we can switch between them with TAB, but user has to change Explosive cannon shell" to "Cannon shell" manually) So

The Tank cannon-A/ Tank cannon-B / Vehicle machine gun / Vehicle flamethrower distinction is a prime example of K2 creativity.


I honestly think the recipe is not very important for things like Tank that will be used in limited quantities. Why is that? Because for example: Logistics products (Belts etc), Production tools (Solar panel, furnace, Assembly machine), Intermediate products (Iron Gear Wheel, Copper Cable, Elect. Circuit), Ammo these are used a lot throughout the game a small increase in recipes or reduction makes a significant difference. But how many tanks are raided during the game? Even if there is a maximum of 10. AAi, this number will not go up much. So the recipe is symbolic.

The sensitive critical situation is:
1-) Where will the research order be?
2-) Will it be stronger or stronger than Spidetron?

Spidetron 6 science ✖ 2500 (30t)
I think 6 science x 3000 (30t) is balanced

Spidetron vs Tank (I was hoping)
Acid: 0/70%---- 0/80
Electric: 0/70%---- 0/80
Explosion: 20/75%---30/90
Fire: 15/60%----20/70
Impact: 50/80%----60/95
Laser: 0/70%----0/75
Physical: 15/60%----20/75

Tank Artillery/Tank cannon-A/ Tank cannon-B / Vehicle machine gun / Vehicle flamethrower

1-)Tank Artillery: (The turret is weak in range, for example (224 vs 80) (They fire the same projectile, no new recipe is required)

0.3/s (fixed, unaffected by research upgrade.)
80 range (fixed, unaffected by research upgrade)

4-) Vehicle machine gun:

20 range--20 /s--- +50% damage ( +5/s speed, damege bonus has been added to standard.)

2-3-5 vanilla preserved.

Conclusion:
K2 TANK graphics copied exactly (big and glorious)
Added increased armor, alternate cannon slots, Tank Artillery.

(As research condition: Artillery (research), Spidetron added.

This will not make the spidetron pointless/unnecessary even if aai vehicles mod is not installed. Because spidertrons are smart mobile devices with controlled tracking feature. the player can make himself followed and have the spidetrons follow him inside the modern tank, (high firepower (rockets)

Advanced circuit 10+ Engine unit 32+ Iron gear wheel 15+ Steel plate 50 → Tank

Processing unit 50 + Electric engine unit 40 + Iron gear wheel 30 + Steel plate 250 (to reflect the armor difference)--Mk2 Tank

There should be a slight increase in speed. But fuel consumption can increase about 2 times. Because physical size increase and additional balls have been added.

Turret traverse speed etc. vanilla can be preserved.

I'm now working on part one of this - A K2 Railgun Turrets mod. (This is a pre-requisite as we want to have railgun shells for the tank.)
Once this is ready, I will create part 2 which will be K2 Advanced Tank.
