Looks like my cheaper modules ( https://mods.factorio.com/mod/z_CheaperModules ) mod applies the effect after recycling recipes was generated, causing them to generate more resources than they should.
Or maybe I should just wait 3 weeks for the expansion's release lol

The mod does it in data-update. You could check if it's OK by setting your mod as an optional (hidden) dependency of Janky Quality.

Nope, to make sure my mod applies to all mods that messes with modules, including SE which does it in data-final-fixes, I made its modname start with z and does the modifying also in data-final-fixes. Guess waiting 17 days it is

Also making modules cheaper aren't actually necessary in my opinion now I've finished a playthrough with Janky Quality and Janky Productivity Research, it's very easy to pump out large amounts of L3 modules.
