Adds a heat processing technology and entities which allow you to make heat with chemical fuel and do chemistry with heat as a power source. Also introduces the still, a burner-powered oil refinery. You may find that making heat with chemical fuel eats your fuel very fast, but the heat-based chemical plant is more efficient.
Huge props to kaueNP for heatpump, reaction kettle, and still graphics. Those graphics are the face of this mod, which allowed me to build my model. I hope you will enjoy these examples, kaueNP. The reaction kettle is a 1x1 chemical plant variant, mimicking the chemical principle that reaction rate increases with heat. Chemistry under heat in the reaction kettle gives a faster crafting rate, and therefore significant time and energy savings, but it only accepts some recipes. Its small size may prove convenient at times. It acts as a pipe, filtered by its recipe, and a heatpipe.
The heatpump has four accessible heat connections: one on each side. It gets hot enough to power two heat exchangers, in theory. It only stores about 1/50 the amount of energy a nuclear reactor stores in its heat buffer, which should cut down on unnecessary chemical fuel costs.
The still is a burner-powered refinery that utilizes an underground pipe input. Point an underground pipe within 4 squares toward the input connection to connect to the first input pipe, and connect a regular pipe directly to the input to connect to the second input connection.
You may burn sulfur in select burner-powered entities (boilers and cars, notably) for a small amount of energy with a huge amount of pollution.
The still and reaction kettle are supported by Adamo Chemical; installing both mods will enable more recipes on these machines, including recipes added by mods.
Adamomods will always be free and released into the public domain. If you've enjoyed my first set of mods, I have more planned, and improvements planned for the existing set. I am only limited by time. Consider donating to help me gain more time to make more mods: https://en.liberapay.com/Adamo/
